Recreate this favorite Chinese dish at home - just a few simple changes make a big difference in calories & fat, without sacrificing flavor!
|1||In a large bowl, mix together 2 tbsp soy sauce, 2 tsp rice wine and cornstarch (add last).|
|2||Add cubed chicken to the soy sauce mixture and marinate in the refrigerator for about an hour. Meanwhile combine 2 tbsp soy sauce, sesame oil, 1 tsp rice wine and sugar and set aside.|
|3||Add canola oil to a wok or large nonstick frying pan and heat over medium-high heat. Add chicken (discard marinade) and stir-fry until done or no longer pink in the middle. Remove chicken and set aside.|
|4||Add garlic, ginger, bell peppers and carrots and stir-fry until veggies are tender. Add the chilis and green onions and cook for about 1 minute.|
|5||Add the sauce mixture and bring to a boil. Add the chicken and mix well.|
|6||Serve with steamed brown rice and broccoli.|
