|2||Combine lime juice, water, canola oil, sugar, garlic powder, salt, peppers, and cumin in a covered container.|
|3||Shake well. Pour half of dressing over cooked barley. In a separate container, combine black beans and remaining dressing.|
|4||Cover and refrigerate barley and beans 8 hours, stirring occasionally. Spoon barley mixture evenly onto 4 lettuce-lined plates.|
