Pumpkin bread is a Fall staple! And it's even better when baked with chocolate chips. This recipe makes 3 loaves - 1 for you and 2 to give away!
5 cups flour
1 teaspoon salt
4 cups sugar
4 teaspoons baking soda
3 cups canned pumpkin
1/2 cup canola oil
1/2 cup unsweetened apple sauce
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon ground cloves
1 cup chocolate chips
1 Mix the pumpkin, canola oil and applesauce in a large mixing bowl. Add the dry ingredients; mixing well.
2 Fold in the chocolate chips. Pour into three loaf pans sprayed with cooking spray.
3 Bake at 350 for about 1 hour or until a toothpick inserted in the middle comes out clean.
4 Cut each loaf into 16 slices or cut into different holiday shapes with cookie cutters.
