French bread pizza is easy to make and this recipe is healthy. Serve with a large green salad and enjoy!
Ingredients:
1/2 loaf Italian or French bread split lengthwise
1/2 cup pizza sauce
1/2 cup low-fat shredded mozzarella
3 Tablespoons chopped green pepper
3 Tablespoons chopped red onion
3 Tablespoons sliced mushrooms
Other vegetable toppings as desired (optional)
Chopped garlic and basil (optional)
Directions:
1 Toast the bread until slightly brown. Top bread with pizza sauce, vegetables and low-fat cheese.
2 Return bread to toaster oven (or regular oven preheated to 350 degrees). Heat until cheese melts.
