Sub a portabello mushroom in place a ground meat burger and instantly slash calories while adding filling veggies at the same time!
1 whole wheat hamburger bun (such as Oroweat)
1 portabello mushroom
1 tablespoon balsamic vinaigrette
1 slice reduced fat provolone cheese
1 tablespoon olive tapanade
Sliced tomato and green leaf lettuce
1 Brush the mushroom with vinaigrette and cook over medium heat until mushroom is soft and juicy. Top with cheese and allow cheese to melt.
2 Brush the bun with tapanade, place mushroom on top followed by lettuce and tomato.
3 Compare to Regular Cheeseburger: 480 calories, 27 g fat, 10 g saturated fat.
