Ingredients:
1 1/2 pounds extra lean ground turkey
2 egg whites
1 tablespoon sherry wine vinegar
2 tablespoons minced fresh parsley OR 1 tablespoon dried parsley
2 teaspoons dried oregano OR 4 teaspoons fresh minced oregano
1 teaspoon cumin seeds (ground cumin is fine)
1/2 teaspoon fennel seeds
1/2 teaspoon black pepper (or cayenne pepper)
1/4 teaspoon marjoram OR 1/2 teaspoon fresh minced marjoram
1/4 teaspoon ground sage
1 tablespoon ground garlic OR 3 cloves of fresh garlic, minced
Dash of thyme
Directions:
1 Combine all ingredients in a large bowl, adding the garlic last. Mix well.
2 Brown in a non-stick skillet unitl cooked through. Use cooking spray if needed to prevent sticking. Drain fat if needed.
3 Use as a side to breakfast, in sauces, casseroles or lasagna. Can be made into patties or meatballs if desired!
