Ingredients - 2 cups all purpose flour
- 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 1/4 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp dried basil
- 1/4 tsp dried oregano
- 2 tbsp chilled stick butter, cut into small pieces
- 3/4 cup shredded parmesan cheese
- 3/4 cup non-fat milk
Instructions - Combine flour, baking powder, salt, and dried herbs in a bowl; cut in butter with a pastry blender or 2 knives until mixture resembles coarse meal.
- Add cheese; mix well. Add milk, stirring just until dry ingredients are moistened.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface, and knead 4 or 5 times. Roll dough to 1/2-inch thickness and cut with a biscuit cutter.
- Place biscuits 1 inch apart on a baking sheet coated with cooking spray. Bake at 425° for 15 minutes or until lightly browned.
- Yield = about 18 biscuits. 1 biscuit = one serving.
