This warm, bubbly and juicy baked pears recipe turns ordinary fruit into a gourmet treat! Perfect for a dinner party or an everyday healthy sweet treat.
Ingredients:
4 pears, peeled, halved and cored
3/4 cup 100% apple juice
1/2 cup water
2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground mace
Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 350.
2 Arrange pears in a large baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over pears.
3 Cover and bake for 30 minutes or until tender, periodically basting while cooking.
4 Remove from oven and allow to cool.
5 Serve with a dollop of light whipped cream if desired.
6 ENJOY!
