|1||Preheat oven to 375°F.|
|2||Beat margarine, sour cream, egg, and almond extract in medium bowl until smooth; mix in sugar. Mix in combined flour, baking powder, and salt. Refrigerate dough 4 to 6 hours.|
|3||Roll dough on floured surface to 1/4-inch thickness. Cut cookies into shapes with cookie cutters. Sprinkle with desired colors. Bake on cookie sheet sprayed with cooking spray until lightly browned, 8 to 10 minutes. Cool on wire racks.|
|4||Yield: approximately 36 cookies (depending on size of cookie cutters).|
