Ingredients
  • 1.5 pounds chopped swiss chard (remove large stems)
  • 3 cups chopped tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1/2 cup thinly sliced shallots (optional)
  • 1/4 teaspoon crushed red pepper

Instructions
  1. Combine tomatoes, garlic, red pepper and shallots in a large saucepan and cook over medium heat for 3-5 minutes or until tomatoes are soft.
  2. Add Swiss Chard, cover and simmer, stirring frequently until the greens are tender. Add a little water as necessary during cooking to add moisture.
