Hummus makes the perfect snack for dipping. Plus, it's filling and the creamy combination of garlic, tahini and garbanzo beans is just heavenly!
1 15 oz. can garbanzo beans, drained and rinsed
3 cloves garlic, crushed
2 T. sesame tahini
1 T. olive oil
1/3 cup warm water
1 T. lemon juice
2 tsp. ground cumin
Salt and pepper to taste
1 Process all hummus ingredients (beans - cumin) in food processor using chopping blade.
2 Place in bowl and season to taste. Sprinkle top lightly with paprika for color.
3 Makes about 1 1/3 cups (2 tbsp = 1 serving).
4 Serve with whole wheat pita bread, cucumber slices, baby carrots, celery and/or bell pepper strips.
