|1||Heat a large soup pot over medium high heat. Add meatless crumbles and cook until browned, (for ground beef, cook about 5 minutes and drain off extra grease).|
|2||Add onion and sauté until tender, about 2 minutes.|
|3||Add the rest of the ingredients, bring to a boil then reduce to a simmer. Cook on low until barley is tender, about 45 minutes.|
|4||Serve immediately or refrigerate or freeze for later use.|
