It's a darned good thing the kitchen is on the other end of the building from my cubicle! I was just over there getting my lunch from the fridge. There is a meeting going on with a catered lunch. And I don't know what they are having, but it smells incredibly good and incredibly fried! And since I've already had my pita and hummus, all I have left for lunch is veggies and fruit. Even cherries can't compete against fried!

I doubt I will actually have any, assuming there are any leftovers. The chances of what they are having being vegan are slim. And hopefully by the time the meeting is over, any leftovers will be cold and gross. But in the meantime, I am trying to talk myself out of this temptation and be happy with my veggies and fruit.

That is the hardest to do! When other people are eating some that you smell is fried and you look down at your carrots, after smelling that the carrot doesn't even taste right :) Hang in there and don't go into temptation, if you do make sure portion is helpful :)

Thanks for the support, Michelle! I managed to avoid this one. I kept to my veggies and by the time I made it back over there (I had to put my salad spritzer back in the fridge), the smell was gone. Somehow the sight alone of the leftovers wasn't really tempting anymore.

And since I was asked to go get a lunch for a vegan at the meeting, I feel pretty sure there was nothing there I would have eaten anyway.
