Breakfast is the most important meal of the day according to some. The benefits of eating a good breakfast include increased energy, weight loss and better focus throughout the day. There are ways you can make sure you’re getting a good breakfast.

Focus on Fruit
Morning is a great time to eat fruit. It is very flavorful and can give you a great taste to really wake your taste buds up in the morning. If you indulge in fruit at breakfast, you might be more willing to make healthy choices throughout the day. Even if you’re a regular cereal-eater, fruit can still give you that same sweet taste, but it’s healthier!

Don’t Forget the Drink
If you, like most people, need coffee to wake up in the morning, you might want to choose different k cup flavors. Choosing flavored coffee might make it easier to drink without as much sweetener and cream! Choose flavors that are new and exciting so you have something to look forward to in the morning!

Add a Variety of Food Groups
Make breakfast the meal you branch out with! You can work a variety of food groups into your breakfast so you are full for the rest of the day. Get a sweet and awakening taste with fruit, add some bacon for your meat and make a veggie omelet to get a serving of vegetables in your breakfast!

Switch Your Breakfast Up
Don’t have the same thing for breakfast every day. Doing this can get boring and will make you stop looking forward to breakfast. Plan new and exciting recipes for breakfast each week. It probably won’t hurt to have the same breakfast a couple of days in a row, but make sure you’re switching it up so you continue looking forward to breakfast.

Don’t Overeat
When you put a variety of food groups into your breakfast, it becomes easier to overeat. Try to reduce your portion sizes so you’re not overeating your breakfast. It might be a good idea to try different things in smaller portions so you can make sure you’re getting the most out of your breakfast routine. Always pay attention to the portions so you can continue eating a variety of food.

Getting a good breakfast can help set you up for success throughout the rest of the day. If you make good breakfast choices, you can make better choices for the rest of the day!
