I didn't know if I should send this important article out to you today because I don't want you to get the wrong idea...

But I thought you should know how serious I am about helping you get the results you are looking for.

Why You Can't Achieve Your Weight Loss GoalsYou see, at my weight loss and personal training studio in Boston we don't work with every client who applies. We simply can't due to space and time constraints.

However, with the clients we do work with, we put our heart and soul into making sure they have everything they need to achieve their goals. We're truly passionate about what we do and we love helping people succeed.

That's why it's troubling for me to tell you about when we had to fire our first client. Well, actually she wasn't quite a client yet...

She came in for her fitness consultation and dynamic movement screen, and throughout her session she kept naming every reason she's failed in the past and how she can't ever see herself losing weight or living in the body she dreams of.

Now I'm not against working with people to help them change their mentality about how they view themselves and teaching them how to visualize the goals they WILL accomplish, but I could tell this particular woman didn't want to change...

She had gotten used being the size she was and had settled into her comfort zone.

It got me thinking that there are so many other people like her out there who for one reason or another can't rally, pull themselves together, and commit to really making a change in their lives.

Believe me; I understand how difficult that can be...

I know it is not easy to pull yourself out of your comfort zone and take a chance on a new weight loss program after you've attempted so many in the past without success. You should know, though, that if you truly want to transform your body and your life - you can.

You just need to follow these 3 steps:

1. Find a program that people are currently using to attain their goals (look for success stories)

2. Follow the program or system EXACTLY as it is laid out for 12 weeks

3. Scratch, claw, bite, or do whatever you have to, but NEVER stray from your program for those first 3 months, even if you aren't where you want to be " ride it out!

After 12 weeks of following a proven program you should be well on your way to establishing healthy lifestyle patterns which will allow you to keep the weight off permanently (which is the real key so that you don't have to repeat this process).

Is it going to be easy during those first few weeks? Probably not... but, if you don't make a change now, when will you?

To get back to my story, we couldn't take on this new client because she wasn't ready to lose weight and move out of her comfort zone. For every reason we gave for why she could (and would) lose weight, she had some excuse.

We'd love to work with her and hopefully one day she'll give herself a chance to succeed and enjoy the life and body she was meant to have, but unfortunately for now she seems destined to yo-yo and crash diet without any long term plan to be the person she wants to be.

Losing weight is no different than attaining any other worthwhile goal.

There will be some discomfort at first, but that's a good thing. That means it's working, because in order for there to be change " something has to change.

This is something that I'm deeply passionate about and could talk about all day, but for now I hope you got the message ...    Continue

This whole post is SO true! I've come across so many people like this woman so many times. Excuses excuses excuses! Some people will not get anywhere because they simply refuse to have a little hope & push their limits.

Achieving & maintaining a goal is always an amazing feat. There truly is no substitute for willpower & determination!

I really like this blog & the message it sends.
