Could losing weight really be as easy as sucking on 3 lollipops a day? The makers of Power-Pops, seem to think so.

The latest diet product Power-Pops contain the natural herb hoodia, caffeine and a lot of sugar, all of which supposedly suppress the appetite. Manufactured by FUN Unlimited, the company says sucking on one lollipop, for 30 minutes a day, three times a day, along with a few glasses of water can make all the difference in how you feel and look.

Gloria Cameron says she had lost 13 pounds and a pant size since using the suckers. She also believes she has found the secret to losing weight.

Even though a little bit of sugar may suppress appetite, the large amount of caffeine that the lollipops contain can cause serious problems. The sugar lowers the pH in the mouth allowing cavity causing bacteria to work. The caffeine can lead to overproduction of insulin, which can be very harmful for diabetics.

The lollipops may seem like a quick fix, but an hour and a half a day of sucking on sugar and caffeine may do more harm than good. The lollipops are not recommended for children.

Ewww, I would not want to suck on a lollipop for 30 minutes three times a day... the reason why you probably lose weight is because you aren't eating that entire time and your taste buds die so nothing tastes good.
