Fruits and Veggies of Spring, from Diet.comWhen I think of Spring, I automatically think about eating more fruits and veggies. I'm not sure if it's the warmer weather or that underlying instinct to get ready for bathing suit season! :) Either way, springtime has a ton of delicious fruits and vegetables that are in season, which means not only do they taste better, but they're cheaper too... bonus!

Here is a list of some Fruits and Veggies that are prime for the picking during the months of March, April and May:

Butter Lettuce
Collard and Mustard Greens
Fava Beans
Green Beans
Morel Mushrooms
Pea Pods/Peas/Snow Peas
Purple, White and Green Asparagus
Red Leaf Lettuce
Spring Baby Lettuce
Swiss Chard
Vidalia Onions

Try to include some of these foods into your diet over the next few weeks.

Do a search in our Diet.com Recipes section for any of these fruits/veggies to find some recipes you can create from these tasty, seasonal ingredients!!

What are some of YOUR favorite springtime fruits and vegetables?
