How many times have you heard diet experts recommend that you should eat breakfast to lose weight? It's one of the most frequently repeated weight loss tips and it's... well...wrong. Eating breakfast does not cause weight loss. It does not boost your metabolism and it has no magical powers to help you lose weight.

Why Should I Eat Breakfast?
I don't recommend that you skip breakfast, but it's important to put the morning meal's benefits into perspective. Before you learn how to eat a diet-friendly breakfast, you need to bust your myths about this meal. Major nutritional organizations including the International Society of Sports Nutrition have been specific in their recommendations about what and when to eat.

If you don't learn how to learn to plan the meal correctly, it will do nothing but add more calories to your daily intake. And that could cause weight gain. Use my list of Healthy Breakfast Dos and Don'ts to plan a morning meal that will help you avoid late morning cravings and make better food decisions throughout the day.
