We talk a lot about the benefits of exercise but this article focused on some of the less talked about benefits – such as how exercise can suppress appetite, making people feel less hungry, and how exercise takes up time that could be spent eating.
This article also focused on some realistic aspects of dieting and how it's natural for people to be more focused at the start of a program but less focused later on. Exercise can give dieters the "calorie wiggle room" they need to stay on program despite drifting from their diet - which means you can eat a little more without gaining weight if you stay on task with your exercise.
As mentioned in this article, though, exercise doesn't just happen. You have to plan for it.
