Katie Holmes strives for rapid weight loss
Since the birth of baby Suri to Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise on April 18th, Holmes has been dropping weight at a record speed. The scientologist couple has yet to preview Suri to the media, and the couple has yet to get married. The former Dawson’s Creek star refuses to set a marriage date until she drops her baby weight. According to the San Francisco Gate, experts are worried about Holmes’ diet and fitness habits, as she has lost over 30 lbs since the end of April. Holmes is said to be eating only healthy food and has embarked on a hardcore fitness regimen that combines two hours of cardio work and 200 sit-ups a day before her Pilates class. Although her weight has rapidly melted off, she refuses to stop her current fitness schedule to become Mrs. Cruise until she is back to her formerly svelte self.

With all of the scrutiny regarding their wedding, it is destined to be a largely publicized event. (Although rumors say that they are planning to marry secretly) I don’t blame Katie for wanting to look her best before the media makes a public spectacle of her. There is a reason why celebrities are all thin and fit. Anyone who has the time and can afford to devote half of a business day to exercise- more power to you! While Katie’s regime might be a bit excessive, it is obviously working for her. I bet we’ll see Mrs. Cruise and baby Suri on the front cover of People magazine in no time!

It is rediculous to hold of the wedding until she looks like her pre-baby self because the baby is born into a relationship between two people who are not married. I am upset about her choice; the baby is more important than Katie's wedding dress and pictures.

I agree fitness should be huge. There are so many overweight people in the USA. We really need to start doing something about it. But I dont think giving up too much, you still gotta enjoy life a little bit. But there are people that eat mcdonalds 3 times a day. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner. Yet people wonder why they weigh 400 pounds.
