Happy Thursday! Feels like Wednesday to me, since Monday was a holiday. What a super short week!

Well I know that as the weather gets cooler (which it DEFINITELY is, here on Cape Cod), many of us turn to comfort foods to make us feel warm and cozy.

Anyone else notice that comfort foods can often contain lots of salt? And you know what lots of salt intake leads to... the dreaded BLOATED effect!

I've heard several members mentioning lately that they're feeling a little sluggish or less-than-terrific b/c they've been bloated. Reducing salt intake can really make a difference in making you feel better, and more like yourself again!

Here are some choices that are a little more exciting than your average dish:

Plum Berry Soup: This makes an elegant dessert dish for a dinner party or celebration - or, for when you just want to treat yourself!

Squash Apple Bake: This dish is so good, it could be a dessert! Serve as a side dish with a savory or spicy meal or as dessert with a dollop of vanilla yogurt.

Seared Kale: Add some nutrient-rich leafy greens to your dinner plate! This garlicky recipe is sure to be a hit.

Chicken Tikka: Middle Eastern spices make these chicken skewers one of a kind! Enjoy with brown basmati rice and steamed veggies.
