I would guess that if you ask mothers what they want from their kids on Mother's Day, gifts would probably not even make the list for 9 out of 10.

Mother's Day DrinkSo maybe this year you can do something really special for your mom. Take this opportunity to show your mom how much she means to you by telling her in a letter or in person -- and by serving up a healthy brunch -- to ensure her good health and long life!

Here is a Mother's Day Menu for Two she'll love:

Scrambled Egg Whites Omelet

Spray a pan with nonstick cooking spray, sauté 1/2 clove of minced garlic and 1 chopped tomato, Scramble 6 egg whites and 1 Tablespoon Parmesan cheese. Pour into pan and cook.

Makes 2 servings: 75 cal and 2.5 fat per serving

Add turkey bacon â€"- 2 slices is approximately 70 calories and 5 g fat

Oven roasted sweet potatoes â€"- peel and slice two small sweet potatoes, spritz with cooking spray and bake for 45 minutes at 250 degrees. Makes 2 servings, approximately 100 calories and 2 g fat per serving.

Mixed green salads -- toss spinach and romaine lettuce or field greens, add a few sliced strawberries, a cherry tomato and a sliced apple, add goat cheese, and toss with fat-free salad dressing. One cup is approximately 50 calories and 2 g fat!

And to toast your love for your mom, be sure to whip up a deliciously satisfying cocktail -- something like the...

Desert Rose Mar-Tiki

2.5 oz. Voodoo Tiki Desert Rose Prickly Pear Infused Tequila

1/4 sliced orange (2 wedges)

1/4 sliced lime (2 wedges)

1/4 sliced lemon (1 wedge)

1 oz. sour mix

1/2 oz. triple sec

Dash grenadine

Muddle orange, lemon and lime with rind in shaker glass, fill with ice, pour Voodoo Tiki Platinum Tequila, sour mix, triple sec and grenadine. Shake well serve in up glass.

Garnish with a lime wedge or wheel.

You can serve this drink "up," on the rocks, or frozen. It's as multi-talented as mom!
