When you want to eat healthier, natural ingredients can help clean up your diet and will help your recipes taste a lot better. Natural ingredients are free of any food additives such as dyes, preservatives, and flavor enhancers. Here are some cooking tips to make including natural ingredients easier and a lot tastier.

Cutting Vegetables

Organic vegetables can be time-consuming and sometimes difficult cut into the sizes you need. When you use a coarse microplate, you actually shave the vegetables into more manageable pieces. Using this handy tool, you can quickly cut your veggies for salads or side dishes and will cut out a lot of time in between.

Savory Eggs

Make your organic eggs taste even better. Plate your cooked sunny-side up eggs. Add sherry vinegar to the cooking pan and stir. Take the sauce from the pan, and add it to the top of the eggs for simple, savory flavor.

Chopping Herbs

When you're chopping herbs, sprinkle a bit of salt onto the cutting board first. The salt grips the herbs and helps keep them from flying around. This is also a great tip for making your herbs taste a little better.

Essential Oils

Add some high quality, pure, therapeutic-grade essential oils to your dishes. Not all oils are suitable, so make sure to use only those that are labeled safe to use internally. Essential oils originating from spices, herbs, or citrus are commonly used in cooking. Essential oils like doTERRA products provide an incredible amount of flavor to your food with just a drop or two of oil and are some of the best to use.

Coloring Food

Forget food coloring, you can add color to your food using simple, natural ingredients. Turmeric adds a nice golden yellow shade. Beets add a pretty shade of red, as well as a bit of sweetness. Carrots are good for an orange touch of color. Puree some spinach to add a touch of green.

Natural Pancakes

Cut the commercial pancake mix out of your diet, but still enjoy pancakes with just two simple ingredients - bananas and eggs. Mash ripe bananas well, then whisk in eggs. Add a little oil to the pan and cook. Serve with a topping of pure and natural maple syrup for a scrumptious, all-natural treat.

Olive Oil

Use olive oil in your cooking, it contains antioxidants. Olive oil is also a healthy fat, which reduces bad cholesterol (LDL) and increases good cholesterol (HDL).

Chicken Stock

Boil leftover chicken bones for a 100% natural chicken broth for use in soups and stews.
Cooking with natural ingredients takes a little bit of imagination, but it's well worth the health benefits.
