6 Tips to Speed Up Summer Fat LossTip #1

Drink a lot of water as this will increase the metabolism rate in your body. A good measure is at least 50% of your body weight in ounces; so if you weigh 120 pounds, 60 ounces of water is suggested. Remember: caffeine does not count - it actually can dehydrate you. But fresh fruit is a high water content food so that counts - during the warm weather increase your daily intake. This means that you will be able to digest food at a much faster rate, making sure that there are no fat cells that make place in your body. One should at least take a minimum of one glass of water before and after every meal.

Tip #2

Healthy sleep is important to help the body heal and recover, so never underestimate the importance of your beauty sleep! At the same time, it is also important that you should not eat anything for two hours before you sleep and take a half an hour walk as well. This is necessary to make sure that the food is properly digested before you sleep.

Tip #3

If you are able to do high level interval boot camp style cardio exercises then your fat loss system will be elevated. If you are in a plateau then add to both your intensity and duration. For example add 10 minutes, speed and add free weights to your bike routine.

Tip #4

Checking the calorie content of food will make a difference. But go a step further by keeping a daily food diary and increasing the raw food intake - as in raw veggies. Increasing raw veggies will increase your fiber levels and assist in removing toxins from your body as well as maintaining an alkaline balance. This ratio is ideal for kicking up fat loss; especially in the summer months when fruits and veggies are the sweetest.

Tip #5

It would be of great help to replace alcohol with a fresh glass of juice or water. The carbohydrate content in alcohol is very high. This carbohydrate converts itself into calories once it enters the body and turns into fat. It might be difficult for you to say no to a drink but is must to avoid fat accumulation.

Tip #6

Don't skip meals. Eating small meals every two hours will keep the glucose level in your body in control and prevent the metabolism from crashing. If you skip a meal your energy will slow, then you will drag and burn fewer calories. So, the answer is keep eating small meals and keep moving!

I don't drink much water. I need to start. The food diary is important also.
