Its Holidays like this that keep families coming together, gives just about everyone an excuse to have a barbeque and makes everyone feel like a kid again enjoying sparkling fireworks in the sky!

This 4th of July I want you all to enjoy your family and take advantage of being around those who love you. Don’t just sit around, go for a walk, play bad mitten or games outside. If you are lucky and are able to spend the 4th of July on a beach or near water, go for a swim with your family. Play marco-polo with your kids and laugh with them.

Having everyone at your place? Let loose, don’t worry about entertaining others! Have a great time and your guests will follow.

If you don’t have time to go for your morning jog or gym session, play games that require you to run around. You may end up burning more calories than you usually do. Set up a volleyball net or play games like dodge ball or whiffle ball.

For food entertaining, prepare most of your food ahead of time and make it food that your guests can serve themselves. This 4th of July, eat smaller portions to stay on track and enjoy the family cooked food. If you would like to know healthy options to choose at your family barbeque check out my video this week.
