Ok, I'm not quite sure where to list this question, but it's really got me stumped!

I was talking with the owner of the local Curves franchise about trying to figure out a workout schedule that would allow me to get more exercise, without trying to squeeze it into impossible places. I told her that I was thinking about going to the Curves in Tumwater (about 5 minutes from my office) on my lunch breaks too, just to get a little more exercise. She told me that she didn't think that it was a good idea because it will make my body think that it needs more exercise to get into shape, and because of that, I will plateau faster. This makes no sense to me!! If you work out more, wouldn't it stand to reason that you would see more results??

Opportunity is missed by most because it is dressed in overalls and looks like work.

What are her credentials...other than owning a gym franchise? There is a such thing as overtraining...but adding some extra exercise each day, doesn't necessarily mean you are overdoing it. I think its a great idea, if that's how you want to spend your lunchbreaks.

You may want to direct your question to Dr. Diet. I recall having read a post by him...on what qualifications & credentials to look for in a personal trainer. I don't remember exactly what they are...but, at a glance, it doesn't sound to me, like this person meets the criteria.

Maybe you could email him...let him know what your exercise routine is now...and exactly what you're planning on adding. I'm sure he would be happy to help you.
