A touch of spice and molasses make gingerbread cookies a winter delight!
Ingredients:
¼ cup butter, softened
½ cup sugar
½ cup brown sugar
¼ cup molasses
1 egg plus 1 egg white (or 3 egg whites)
2 cups all purpose flour
1 tsp baking soda
½ tsp allspice
½ tsp ground ginger
Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 350. Spray baking sheets with cooking spray.
2 In a mixing bowl, add butter, sugar and molasses; cream until soft. Beat in eggs and stir until creamy.
3 Combine the dry ingredients in a separate bowl. Add dry ingredients into the wet mixture and stir until blended well. Spoon teaspoons of batter onto baking sheet. Bake 12-15 minutes or until done.
