Store bought granola can be high in sugar and fat - but don't worry, if you like granola, we've got just the recipe for you! It's healthy and tasty!
Ingredients:
4 cups old fashioned oats
1/2 - 2/3 cup thawed frozen 100% apple juice concentrate
1/3 cup honey
1 cup slivered almonds
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 1/2 tbsp ground cinnamon
1 cup dried cranberries
Directions:
1 Preheat oven to 350 F. Combine the oats and almonds in a large mixing bowl.
2 In a separate small bowl, mix honey, vanilla and apple juice concentrate and microwave for 1 minute. Mix liquid in with oat mixture.
3 Sprinkle in cinnamon and toss. Spread on a cookie sheet. Bake for 35-40 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4 Cool, add cranberries and stir. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
5 Yield: 9 cups. Serving Size: 1/2 cup.
