Ingredients
  • 4 pears, peeled, halved and cored
  • 3/4 cup 100% apple juice
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 teaspoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground mace

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Arrange pears in a large baking dish. Mix remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over pears.
  3. Cover and bake for 30 minutes or until tender, periodically basting while cooking.
  4. Remove from oven and allow to cool.
  5. Serve with a dollop of light whipped cream if desired.
