Easy Steps to Get You Resolution Ready!

1) Take control of your portions! It isn’t always about eating the right food, but often it’s just a matter of eating less of the bad. Try following the 80/20 rule which consists of eating 80% healthy foods like vegetables and fruits and 20% of less healthy foods like pasta and cookies.

2) Exercise outside of the gym. Often doing crunches while watching your favorite television show, or lifting free weights instead of playing those late night computer games can really make a difference. Using your spare time to get in a little extra exercise can help get rid of those extra pounds!

3) Make mini goals daily. Today I decided to not drink any soda. By taking it one day at a time, we are less likely to get overwhelmed and more likely to continue our good behavior.

4) Keep your resolution to yourself. Although, it is important to have support while on your weight loss plan, it isn’t necessary to share your resolution. You may find it much easier to follow through with your resolution if you aren’t trying to keep a commitment to your friends to lose it by a certain day. Your weight loss is a personal journey and you should travel it at your own pace.
