“Diet Talk from the Doc” — New Blog Offers Expert Opinion on Diet, Nutrition, and Fitness News

PHILADELPHIA, June 19, 2006 — Diet.com has launched “Diet Talk from the Doc,” a weight loss news blog authored by Robert Kushner, M.D., a nationally acclaimed diet and obesity expert. This new blog is designed to deliver up-to-date, cutting-edge diet- and health-related news coupled with expert commentary to online readers on a regular basis.

“Diet Talk with the Doc” brings a dynamic component to the weight loss world. Features of the blog include a “Diet in the News” category, where Dr. Kushner updates the content daily using recently released articles or studies that bear significance in the realm of diet and health. After each summary of a recent article or study, Dr. Kushner “weighs in” with his expert observations.

“My patients turn to me daily to help them make sense of the latest diet related news. This blog is a new, unique opportunity for me to reach a larger audience of dieters who, like my patients, may also be frustrated and confused about the world of dieting and weight loss,” says Dr. Kushner. “As a nation, we are starving for the right diet-related information. I am here to do my share.”

And since a blog is meant to be a truly interactive medium, readers are able to post comments and personal insight regarding a particular article or observation of interest to them. “I am glad when I hear back from readers because it means I’ve tapped into something of importance to them,” Dr. Kushner says. “Keeping my blog readers informed, inspired, motivated and focused is my objective.”

“Diet Talk from the Doc” contains commentary on important issues such as “Parenting Style and Overweight Kids,” “Hidden Costs of Super-sized Meals,” and “Crash Dieters— Beware.” “Diet Talk from the Doc” can be found at the following link: http://www.dietdoc.typepad.com/weight_loss_expert_blog/2006/06/. The blog is also being featured on www.Diet.com, a premier online weight loss destination site.
