Definition of Determination: Spring 2006 Diet.com Weight Loss Challenge Winners
PHILADELPHIA, April 28, 2006 — Diet.com is pleased to announce the top five winners of the Spring 2006 Weight Loss Challenge, an event designed to keep members motivated and bring excitement to their weight loss experience.
The five outstanding individuals who won top Challenge honors made amazing progress and demonstrated an unfailing commitment for the duration of the Challenge, which lasted from January 13th-March 31st, 2006. They stayed the course week after week, setting and meeting mini-goals, utilizing Diet.com tracking tools, and encouraging their fellow challengers in the group message boards. The following are the top five remarkable challengers:
- Jeff (member Reneesman) lost 32 pounds
- Elaine (member Lilbabygirlsamsmom) lost 25 pounds
- Jennifer (member J_vondracek) lost 20 pounds
- Coral (member HeyIgnatz) lost 16 pounds
- Sarah (member Moore2loose) lost 15 pounds
When asked what she learned by participating in the Challenge, winner Coral wrote, "I learned that
there's lots of people out there with the same challenges and concerns and hopes and struggles
that I go through from time to time and sometimes daily. During the Challenge I learned to
pace myself and be OK with not losing all the weight in one week."
Everyone who successfully completed the Challenge was eligible for top honors. Diet.com
judges looked at challenger overall weight loss, use of all the trackers, community
involvement, before and after photos, and a personal testimony. Each of these winners
will receive an iPod Shuffle along with one of five 6-month Premium Memberships.
This year's Spring Weight Loss Challenge was a huge success; 745 participating
members motivated each other to lose weight and get closer to their goals. The
excitement generated from the Spring 2006 Weight Loss Challenge definitely carried
over to the "Slimmer by Summer" Weight Loss Challenge, currently underway with an
astonishing 2,152 members!
