Dr. Mike Zhang is devoted to building online communities that make a difference in people’s lives. He founded Diet.com with the goal to provide a strong social network for those who want to eat right and live a healthier lifestyle.

Prior to Diet.com, Dr. Zhang was President and CEO of Friendfinder.com, one of the largest privately owned online personals properties.

Dr. Zhang also served as a brand executive at Procter & Gamble Health and Beauty Care Marketing. He led the development of the global brand identity for Actonel, a billion-dollar Osteoporosis drug. In addition, Dr. Zhang helped launch Olay Complete to become the #1 top selling product in the category.

Dr. Robert Kushner has treated tens of thousands of overweight patients and has published more than 140 scientific articles on obesity and nutrition. According to Dr. Kushner, "Most diet plans miss the boat when it comes to getting one’s weight under control for life. Being overweight is a multi-dimensional lifestyle problem; it’s not just about the food." Board certified in internal medicine and nutrition, Dr. Kushner has studied in-depth the life patterns approach to weight loss, and uses evidence-based recommendations for weight loss and behavior change.

Dr. Kushner is frequently quoted in the media and has appeared on such national television programs as Good Morning America and CNN.

Esther Kim
Chief Dietitian

Esther Kim obtained her Bachelor's in Science and Nutrition from Cornell University and her Master's in Science in Nutrition from Tufts University. She has been a Registered Dietitian for 10 years, and is also a Licensed Dietitian in the state of Massachusetts. She is completing her Doctorate in Nutritional Epidemiology at the Harvard School of Public Health.

She has specialized in Medical Nutrition Therapy at Brigham and Women's Hospital in Boston, Massachusetts where she worked with many medical specialties including diabetes, heart disease, hypertension, and food allergies. She has also worked as the Health Educator and Registered Dietitian at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts where she provided educational programs for successful weight management.

At Diet.com, Esther oversees works to keep our programs updated and our members educated on all things related to healthy nutrition and healthy weight loss.

Katrina Hodgson
Certfied Personal Trainer

Katrina Hodgson, Diet.com’s featured award-winning certified personal trainer, has helped thousands reach their goals by designing weight loss and fitness programs. Katrina is certified through the National Academy of Sports Medicine and the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, specializing in Pre- and Post-Natal Fitness for women.

Katrina develops all fitness routines featured in Diet.com’s weekly online fitness videos. She also writes a blog providing expert advice and tips to losing weight and getting into shape.

Sarah Dussault
Senior Video Producer

Sarah is one of the most prolific online video producers today. She leads Diet.com’s online video team, producing more than three original online videos every week generating over 15 million views to date.

Under Sarah's leadership, Diet.com videos cover a great range of topics from breaking heaalth news, healthy cooking, to fitness tips. She also lead to produce the first online weight loss challenge reality show, in partnership with WCVB (Boston ABC affiliate). Washington Post calls her videos "polished" and their "favorite". Many of her videos are featured on popluar online video portals such as YouTube and MySpace Videos.

Prior to Diet.com, Sarah came from the prestigious media outlet New England Sports Network, with previous experience at WHDH (Boston NBC affiliate), and the Tannenbaum Company.

John McGran
VP/Content

John McGran oversees the Diet.com website content and produces our weekly newsletters. Since coming to Diet.com in January 2008, he has developed relationships with top publishers, authors and other premium content providers to bring diet.com users fresh topics on diet, fitness, nutrition and motivation.

John has spent the past decade as a writer and editor for a number of health living websites and publications, including eDiets.com, LivingFuel.com, ShrinkYourself.com and eBrandAid.com. Prior to his entry in the world of health and fitness, John worked as the top editor for Sun magazine; prior to that he worked in the news business as a reporter/editor for several Pennsylvania newspapers.

John holds a BA in Journalism from Penn State University and has written several books and 13 page-a-day calendars. He and his wife Barbara and their children, Jonathan and Caelyn, now call Billerica, Massachusetts home.
