Hello, I am new here. I needed to do something. I feel so awful about myself looking at my husband. He is in great shape and very active. I feel like such a flabby slobby mess next to him. Seeing him should be inspiring, but instead makes me feel hopeless. I can't catch up to him! I've tried to begin jogging. I like it when I am finished, but getting going is tough. I have a new bicycle which I've taken out only twice. I just can't seem to get going and when I do I always feel like giving up. It seems so easy for him to be active and drop pounds and it is so hard for me. I just think, "Oh well, I'll never get there" and then I enjoy a piece of chocolate or an extra piece of pizza. Immediately after I feel SO guilty and ashamed. Not sure how to get going here.

Just wanted to get it out.

Hi, I am your diet.com twin sister.

Almost identical situation, including the running! oh my gosh!

I love to be fit and it's been tough. I bought a trainer for my bike so that I could stay inside and do a little. I have had a really rough week and have had to focus on medical, work, and family versus me and exercise.

I am hoping to get back on track this week. My goal is 15 minutes on the bike.

Stick to it. My hub is now saying we need to get me healthy. Before it was loose weight. But now that I have several medical diagnoses, on medications, he's changing his focus.

I have the desire - but my body isn't always co-operating!

Anyways, let's stick it out. baby steps.

In for a "Penny", out for a pound!
