My motivational song is "Reach" by Caleigh Peters. It helps me to remember not to give up on anything. Don't let people push you around or let them tell you what to do. It helps me to also live my own life and live my way. No matter what others might think is right. How easy it is to change your own course. Also, everytime i think about giving up on anything i turn it on if it's Dieting, at work, exerciseing, anything im doing. I just stop relax and listen to that song.

Hello Diet / Lifestyle-Change Buddies!

(Maybe we should rename this site 'LifestyleChange.com'!! Laughing )

I don't know if I even posted an answer to Motivation Question Week 4... I've been away for what seems like an eternity, although it's only been a couple of weeks!

I don't have a particular song that motivates me, but the very act of singing motivates me and makes me feel alive! And I haven't been doing too much singing lately, although I did perform very successfully in a Mozart Requiem last weekend, so that was a nice break from this gloomy depression I've been in...

So that's my answer to this question: SINGING motivates me and makes me feel better and also forces me to pull my head out from you-know-where and get on with life with a smile on my face.

By the way, I've cut sweets now for over a week, and I bought a big bottle of Greens Plus today, and even the first dose of that has given me a boost of energy. I have been putting off buying that stuff because of the cost, but you know what, you can't get something for nothing, and I'm really worth feeling great and being healthier, no matter the cost!

And I've been eating mindfully for the first time ever, actually stopping when physically full... AMAZING for me, the classic binge eater...

I have been unbelievably depressed these last couple of weeks, since I broke up with my B-Friend and also had a career crisis, but I'm feeling better and better, and starting to find my way again, slowly but surely.

I wish you guys all the very best, hang in there, and remember we only live once and life is just too darned short to stay down and gloomy.

How will I be who I wish to be, if I look as I am supposed to look? -Susie Orbach in Fat is a Feminist Issue

The song that best motivates me lately is "The last day of my life" by Phil Vassar. Just talking about how we should live everday like its our last. We are not promised tomorrow. So I need to get in shape today and not put it off anymore.
Hope everyone has a great week and reaches their goals!!

Don't Wait for Heroes by Dennis DeYoung. Great beat, great energy, and great message for the underdog with a dream!

So don't wait for heroes, do it yourself
You've got the power
Winners are losers
Who got up and gave it just one more try
One more try...One more try

My favorite motivational song right now is " Time in a Bottle" but i don't remember the singer. It's all the things I would love to do with my husband; but we never have time to do it. But I can't save time; so I have to start now; because everyday that i don't is time lost.

Any song that has a good beat works for me. It isn't the words that motivate me but the music. If I can get up and move around to it then it works. I used to be a dancer so every song I hear I automatically think "what moves could I put to this?" Cool Then I visualize those movements in my mind. Even if I'm not in a position to do it, like I'm in the car--it's still motivational because I'm thinking about staying active.

I think the song that motivates me to continue on making the changes and sticking with already existing newly learned habits, would be "Man I Feel Like a Woman" by Shania Twain. This song ihas such a strong impact on my life, as now I am able to wear makeup, not just for the shear fact that it is professional to do so, but because it makes me see the difference in myself. I am also able to wear clothes that make my newly formed shape show. I am able to wear a dress with boots, and not have to worry about someone saying "would you look at that, why would she wear that out in public?" I don't know if people ever said that about me, but once or twice in my life I have caught myself saying it Embarassed

I have been exercising to Steven Curtis Chapman lately. He makes me feel so positive and uplifted. I love his song, Dive.

Anything by the Black Eyed Peas motivates me. Their songs are really upbeat and have me dancing around. My favorite is probably Pump It. When that song comes on when I'm working out I seem to find renewed energy. Very Happy

I love to exercise to contemporary Christian ROCK! Petra is an older band that just put out their 2 CD greatest hits and it is awe-some!

I would say that music inspires me. Motivation, for me, comes from within me. Inspiration can come from outside sources. I love music and art and having an aesthetically pleasing environment- color, music, lighting, artistic expression- all those things inspire me.

Success breeds success. The more I move my body, the more I want to move my body. In fact, I'm going to work out with weights right now!
