"I'm down 20 lb (actually 21 but who is counting) since starting the
program just 2 months ago. And I love the changes in my body that
I am seeing, but what is more amazing is the changes in my mind."

"I am now able to go up my front steps without stopping on every step.
I can walk up them like a normal person. I was able to change my shoes
in the car this morning. I mean real, lace up sneakers. Not only did
I get them on but I could bend over and tie them. I did a 50 minute
walk this morning after I got the shoes on. I can remember when I
used to have to lay down after I took a shower because I was so out
of breath. I love it!!!!!" Diet.com Grammy

"I use my tracker faithfully. I've only been here a week, but I come
on every day and fill it in. When I want to eat something junk food
(like the mr. goodbars and other chocolate that sit on a co-worker's
desk "for all of us" yep.. she's thin as a rail) I think to myself..
"ooohhhh, I REALLY don't want to write that in my tracker!" so it
helps me to not eat the candy, or at least not eat so much. All of
the message boards inspire me too. There is so much information here!
And I've already made some great buddies and joined a couple of groups.
Seeing that people have made progress, just one pound at a time, inspires
me to keep going. It sometimes seems that people just lose weight
"overnight", but it never happens that way. It happens slow and steady,
and reading all the posts and seeing other's progress keeps it real.
Like a reality check for me. I get greedy too. I lose two pounds and
get greedy and wish it were 5lbs! Reading the posts and the celebrations
of others losses helps me to realize that 2 lbs is a lot! And I also
need to celebrate my losses instead of berating myself because I didn't
lose more. I am also learning that Non scale victories are just as
important as a loss, too. You all out there are MY biggest inspiration!
Thanks and good luck everyone!" Diet.com Member

" I was told that every time someone sees me lately I am walking somewhere.
Normally I would find someone to run a message to whoever I needed
to give it to. Now I just run and talk to the person myself. I have
to drop my car off for an oil change today and I am going to walk
for the hour that I have to be there. Usually I'd just take a book
with me. I have been trying to move more and making a conscientious
effort to do so. My husband says I'm even getting my waist back. I
did some figuring today, I was getting a little down on myself because
I'm losing slowly. I have lost 13 lbs in 11 weeks. Just like I'm suppose
to. It sure feels good to know that I am doing it right for a change."

"So far I have lost 13 lbs this is my 3rd week. I admit that I have
slipped up a little but, I'm so excited about what I have accomplished
so far. When I get to my 10% goal which is 24lbs, I will go out and
get a new hair do.....I'm so looking forward to it. WAY TO GO TO ALL
THE 'LOSERS'" Diet.com Member dreya
"My 13 year old walked up to me at a bbq and put her arms around me
and squeezed me and looked up and said "Mom you have lost enough weight
that I can put my arms all the way around you, and squeeze. I can
overlap my hands." I almost cried, because it is true. She can put
her arms around me and squeeze, it felt GREAT!!!!!!!!! I am proud
enough to continue to lose weight." Diet.com

"Hi Everyone, I'm just thrilled to announce the loss of another 1.5
pounds this week. Losing a little this week made me feel like I will
reach my goal, and because I haven't been denying myself anything,
but just cutting down on my portions, I really believe I can make
this a lifelong commitment. Thanks to all of you for your encouraging
words, and helpful tips. It's great fun to start my day at Diet.com"

"I am proud that I have stuck with this for three months and am still
losing. I usually do not last this long and I really have not been
hungry." Diet.com member nancymt615
"I am stoked about this program!!! I have lost 14 lbs now and can't
believe how much easier it's been with all the help and advice from
everyone here. The strategies really hit home, I at first found it
hard to follow them but after time (just like anything else) I got
used to it and found it got easier. So all I have to say is THANKYOU!!!
THANKYOU!!! THANKYOU!!!" Diet.com member mrsb147
"The 4 steps are great! It does simplify the large picture. I started
out as a Procrastinator. Why start? I didn't want to fail anymore
and gain more weight. One of the strategies asked to think of something
I had been successful in and use that as a model to lose weight. That
was a big key for me. Then I graduated to Fast Pacer and now to Self
Scrutinizer! What an adventure! I really like that the strategies
change as I do and keeps me going forward. The check lists are a great
way to see where my weak suits are and focus on those more" Diet.com

"Finally after two weeks and the scale not budging I'm down 3.2lbs!
This has been wonderful. I'd like to say THANKS to all of you for
inspiring me to this mini-goal. Before if the scale had not moved
I would have just given up and went back to my old ways. Especially
with the holidays, nah, who am I kidding it wouldn't have taken the
holidays to get me to fall off the wagon, the scale not moving would
have been excuse enough. With all of you all here I feel accountable,
and motivated. If anyone thinks this won't work for them the only
thing I can say is, WRONG! When I first found this site I was you.
It took me about a month or so to get a good mind set and now here
I am....20 pounds lighter. So, if you are hesitating don't. Just jump
right in! A BIG THANK YOU to everyone again. My past is proof I could
not have done it without you. I know that another mini-goal is in
my foreseeable future." Diet.com member - lilbabygirlsamsmom
"I had two people mention my weight loss and even though I was a little
embarrassed having the attention, IT FEELS GREAT!!!! I have lost 14
lbs since joining and I am really excited. I feel like I am getting
my life back...MORE ENERGY! I am not at my goal yet...but my goal
seems possible today instead of a fantasy. The tracker has really
helped me because it has made me accountable of what I am putting
in my body. I am not counting calories..but I know portions and I
know when something is fried and/or fatty. It isn't as hard as I thought
it was going to be." - Diet.com member lolo9297
"I have a 17 pound total as of the 18th. It's really hard to believe
I'm in my 10th week already. In the past I've never stuck with a program
this long, mostly because I wanted to lose all my weight in a week.
Being here has helped so much. Congratulations to everyone, not only
their weight loss, but with wanting and making changes to your life."

"I do know that it's not just weight loss that counts. It's tracking
and posting and being a part of the diet.com community, using the
strategies and before and after pictures. I can honestly say that's
why I came on diet .com but it's not the reason I'm still here. I
absolutely love the program and the friends I've made. I finally feel
comfortable; it's like my 2nd home." - Diet.com

"This morning was my weekly weigh-in and after 3 weeks of no change...well,
I was nervous. Then I saw...I HAD LOST WEIGHT!!! I couldn't believe
it! I lost 3.5 pounds (maybe it was catching up with me). I was so
scared that all this work-tracking my food, exercise-and using Diet.com's
meal plan and shopping was not going to work. But it has started.
Thanks to all of you for the support! I may not post much but I do
read what is being written and it does help." Diet.com

" My pants are loose and feel great, I haven't had this much room
in them since I could remember. Now! I have to wear a belt to hold
them up on me and that is a SHAME!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I use to have to unbutton
them after I ate a meal or sat down for long periods at a time. But!
Now I am walking with ease, pulling them up and holding them with
a belt. Never thought I would ever feel this good about being able
to hold my pants up with a belt. WOW!!!!!" - Diet.com

"Well, I've got myself down to 144.5 now, and I'm happy, happy, happy.
I was stuck for a while at 146.5 and I felt a bit discouraged, to
be honest. But, instead of giving in I kept coming back here, reading
the boards, getting ideas, sticking to my personality plan, listening
to my buddies and three weeks later there it was on the scale: 144.5!
I feel even more compelled now to keep trying to whittle away the
last of the fat. Pretty soon I'll be back in my favorite clothes.
Maybe in time for Christmas. Thanks everyone for your support and
great ideas." - Diet.com member Gardengate
"I woke up this morning and thought I should look at my strategies.
Low and behold my eyes fell instead upon the pledge. I read it and
then reread it... What a stabilizing thing to read for me. I didn't
feel a rush of excitement or commitment from reading it but rather
a sense of peace...I am doing a good thing for myself and those I
love. It's amazing to me all the different types of support and help
on this site and when I find it. Feeling very grateful for all of
you and this site and wishing you all a successful day." - Diet.com

"I'm loving the iPod! I'm actively using it for a healthy lifestyle.
Last night I used it to listen to a meditation to relax. Today I went
out jogging and if I hadn't had my fun, energetic tunes to listen
to I would have quit halfway through. So, everybody -- submit those
recipes and try to win that iPod! It's a fun tool to use to help you
lose weight!" - Diet.com Member jenlazycook
"I would just like to let all my fellow "dieters" know that this is
the best program I have ever been on. At age 55, I feel like I've
finally found something that really works!! That's because I actually
don't look at this as a real diet. It's really a "lifestyle change",
which may sound tacky and cliche, but it's true.
Unlike other programs, including Weight Watchers, you have a meal
plan that's suited for your personality and habits. If you're honest
when you answer the questions on your survey, you will actually get
a personalized meal plan and shopping list that offers a great variety
of meals that will be satisfying and enjoyable.
I lost 10 pounds in the first 3-4 weeks, and have lost about 2 more
pounds since then. I probably could have lost even more, but I found
it was more important to maintain this weight loss over a few months.
That psychology helped me realize that when I decide to add calories
through some fun foods, I can go right back to my healthier regimen
and maintain my weight loss. That's what makes it a "lifestyle change"
rather than a diet. I just want to keep going this way, rather than
setting some magical date to stop the diet - and then just pack the
pounds back on.
Please let everyone know that these are my unsolicited comments, and
that I truly believe in your plan. I have not tried every recipe in
my meal plans, but there has been enough variety to keep me enjoying
my particular program.
All I can say is "try it" - "really give it a chance" - and see if
you don't feel the same way. All my family and friends have noticed
a change in my looks and my attitude. Who could really ask for anything
more?? Hang in there from a happier Linda J. Chapman" - Diet.com
