This is the most important part of starting any diet plan, starting slow. In the beginning I started walking for about 15 minutes after lunch, and I walked slowly.
At first, the 15 minutes wasn't so bad, so I walked for a 30 minutes. I was walking after lunch under the sun which made the walk harder. After a few weeks I started to notice it was getting easier and I can finish the same distance in a shorter time.
One day I decided to walk before lunch and see how far I can go in 30 minutes. I was surprised to walk so far, the bad part is I had to go back. By the time I got back to the office I was sweating and hot, beside I missed lunch. Luckily, I can eat while I am working, so I grabbed something quick.
Everyday I tried to go further and further in my walks, after a while I start walking about 3.5 miles in the lunch hour. The whole idea behind this is you can reach your goal as long as you start slow and go up in small increments. Don't try to overdue it which might burn you out.
