Hey all, I have been tracking my fiber count lately and even with the fruit and veggies I seem to always come up light on the fiber. I am shooting for 25 - 35 grams daily (hoping for 35 most days) and I just wondered if anyone else is tracking fiber and if so how much your daily intake is? Patty

RE: Adding Fiber
That's a good idea, but I don't really know much about it. I should start keeping track! ~Sara :o)

RE: Adding Fiber
I used to but lately haven't been tracking much but calories. I always try to hit between 25-35 and I find it is very difficult for me if I don't eat breads. I found Carb Balance tortillas that have quite a bit of fiber without a ton of calories. I have found I need some bread in my diet daily or I kick off cravings and my body becomes dissatisfied. Once I added in some bread it made hitting my fiber numbers a lot easier.

RE: Adding Fiber
I like all bran buds heated with a little soy milk (I know it sounds gross but it is comforting and quite delicious) then I add some frozen blueberries, blackberries and raspberries. I also try to eat a multigrain oatmeal at least 3 times a week now. I am glad that you had issues too Leslie with getting enough fiber. I was really surprised cause I do eat a lot of fruit and veggies, but it just goes to prove that we need to eat from all the food groups. Patty

RE: Adding Fiber
Almonds and other nuts are high in fiber.
