Hello, fellow members! Sorry I haven't been very active with my group so far. I've had some trouble getting into my groups for some reason through my main page, so I have to get into them through the list. Anyway, my goal was to create this group so that we could share our workout routines, and offer tips and suggestions. So, maybe we can start by sharing our daily exercises? I'm sure you already log them, but maybe we can compare notes and see if there's something else out there we might be interested in trying. What are you favorite exercises to do? How do you change things up? I'd be really interested to find out.

RE: Workouts
Sounds like a great idea as I would like to "mix it up" work-out wise so as not to get in a rut. I currently have commited to 60 minutes of cardio at least 6 times a week...plus lower and upper body weight training.

RE: Workouts
Using weights is great because it strengthens bones!

RE: Workouts
It strengthen your bones and also builds muscle so that your body burns more calories. More muscle=more calories burned even when resting!

I'm lucky, The Y just got a new program director so they are planning all sorts of new classes. Next week they are starting an ab class.

RE: Workouts
I am addicted to Exercise TV OnDemand. They have a ton of different exercises. I can do abs, then Yoga, then kickbox. I love the variety!!

RE: Workouts
I go to a Group Power class once a week...it's weight lifting with great upbeat music...otherwise I would probably never lift weights. I also do cardio 3-4 times a week and occasionally a yoga/pilates class

RE: Workouts
I am new to this website entirely because i've gotten stuck in a rut and need to get my motivation back. i travel a lot for work so it is difficult to maintain a regular work out schedule. when i do have a time, i try to get to the gym as much as possible and will try to do 20-30 minutes of cardio and 20-30 mins of weight training. Usually i try to switch up the cardio by doing 10 mins on the elliptical and then 10 on the bike, then to the treadmill, stairmaster, etc. I also will do some cardio, then my weight training, then more cardio. i get bored easily so i'm looking for ideas to vary my routines
