Hey Diet.com members! How is everyone's Wednesday going so far? Well I am feeling great this morning because I've had a delicious breakfast, PLUS I've already prepped a tasty snack for myself for later on.

Here's what I'm enjoying for breakfast this morning:

Cantaloupe and Strawberries

Mmm a heaping bowl of cantaloupe and strawberries!! So fresh and delicious and colorful!

My boyfriend chopped up an entire cantaloupe on Monday and put it into a bowl in the fridge, so we've just been picking at it all week long. It's good to have some pre-prepared fruits and vegetables around the house, because you'll be much more likely to grab them if they are ready-to-go, so to speak :)

Speaking of pre-preparing snacks, I've cut up some carrot and celery slices for a mid-morning snack for myself today. I might have a little light cream cheese on my celery too, mmm!

What are some of your favorite fruits and veggies to have as snacks?

I love cut up peppers, that is the yellow, red and orange variety. The green ones don't agree w/ me. Also I buy those bags of Snap peas and munch on those. If I am fixing dinner and am STARVED. They help to take the edge off. Also I love cup up melon, especially cantaloupe. We also have watermelon cut up. We like to eat that for dessert while we are watching TV. I cut it up and put in refrigerator. It so so refeshing and cool. Summer has so many great fruits. We eat as much as possible before the "winter hits".

I am really diggin' summer squash, watercress, peaches and grapefruit! The banana's I've been getting leave much to be desired, but I'll keep trying!

I agree Bailey, having fruit and veggies prepared ahead of time makes eating healthy so easy!
I love cucumbers and hummus for snacks - protein and veggie.
I love melons cut and right now apricots are in season here and they are delicious! I am also enjoying the fresh sweet cherries, raspberries and blueberries. Peaches are coming soon! You gotta love this time of year!
Veggies - zucchini, fresh peas (they are high in fiber and protein - who knew), peppers, mushrooms. Sweet corn has just started and it is yummy grilled and added to salsa or other stir frys. Grape tomatoes are a staple for me too and I always have frozen brussel sprouts on hand for those nights when I don't know what to have.
Okay, I could go on, but that is enough!

1 thing I absolutely hate doing is cutting up watermelons and cantaloupes! But 1 thing I absolutely love doing is having a big container of the fruit in fridge readily available to me! Plus fruit is the best snack for when I'm having a case of the munchies! I love going to my local outdoor farmers market and stocking up on all the fresh fruit!! Mmm just finished my last peach today. So delicious!

One of my favorite fruits to snack on are apples that are baked! It's like the PERFECT dessert for me. I just sprinkle some splenda and cinnamon on top of my cut up apple with half a tbsp. of Brumble and Brown yogurt butter. Oh and I can never wait that 30 minutes for the apple to sit in the oven and bake...so most of the time I cheat and microwave it for a few minutes hehe.
