The exercise video I want to show you today demonstrates a powerful lower abs exercise.

It’s called “Bench Leg Lifts using a Full ROM”

The reason why it’s so much more effective than regular leg lifts is that you can actually stretch your lower abs much deeper by lowering your legs PAST where floor level would be…

You do this by holding onto the bench beside your head with your hands and then placing your hips half on and half off the bench to allow your lower back to comfortably help lower your legs without over arching.

Also, this exercise doesn’t just work your lower abs – it hits all your core muscles!

I will say, though, that this may be the most effective abs exercise at specifically targeting that lower abs area…

There’s really 2 ways of completing this exercise for maximum results:

You can do the “beginner” version with a reverse crunch instead of a leg lift, or…

You can do the “advanced” version which includes a full leg-lift

I personally recommend completing about 12 – 20 repetitions for this exercise to get the most benefit out of it. If you can ever do more than 20 - 30 reps of any abs exercise I always recommend upping the intensity so that you can place more tension on the abdominal area.

Check out the video below to watch me coach Sarah on how to complete both versions of this amazing lower abs exercise:
