Welcome to part 4 of my 7-part series on how to bust through a plateau!
Plateau Buster #4 concentrates on changing your macro-nutrients routine.
The objective is to catch your metabolism off guard. If you are eating the same foods in the same combinations as a habit, mix it up to snap your body out of the predictable routine you have been in. Macro nutrients are protein, carbs and fats. You will want to change the macro nutrient balance that you typically have to something very different for your body.
I have listed some suggestion below to give you the idea.
If you…..................................Try Instead:
Have carbs for breakfast.........Having more protein than carbs
Visit the vending machine......Drinking a protein shake
Snack on popcorn...................Eating raw vegetables and hummus
Skip breakfast........................Having a light breakfast
Eat three meals with bread.....Eating 5 small meals, no bread.
Eat low fat foods.....................Good fats like olive oil & nuts
The combinations are endless, analyze your daily diet, then purposefully change it to have the opposite macro nutrients.
