Valentine's Day Fitness
Plan on going out on Valentine's Day with your date or with some friends? I have a few fun ideas that can make for a healthy day with the ones you love!
Relieve stress and enjoy being pampered together. There is nothing better than being pampered and rewarding yourself after a lot of hard work. If you do not go to a professional to get the massages, exchange them at home! It's a great arm workout too.
2.Most foods that are an aphrodisiac are healthy! Plan a healthy meal with your partner at home with these foods and you will feel the love...
Asparagus, Almonds, Avocados, Basil, Bananas, Clams, Caviar, Cherries, Chocolates, Carrots, Garlic, Ginger, Honey, Licorice, Mustard, Nutmeg, Oysters, Pine Nuts, Pineapple, Raspberries and Strawberries, salmon, Truffles, and Vanilla- and of course wine and champagne! Champagne is actually much lower in calories than other alcoholic beverages. Go for it!
3.Chocolate covered strawberries!
This week you will see a video on diet.com showing the healthier or lower calorie treats you can have on Valentine's Day. One of which is my favorite, chocolate covered strawberries! It is fun to do with your partner and is very healthy. Grab some dark baking chocolate and fresh strawberries at the store. The two of you can be silly and make them together. Heat the dark chocolate in a pan on low heat for only a couple minutes, take it off the stove and stir until all the chocolate is melted. Dip the strawberries in and enjoy!!
4.Get active together on Valentine's Day!
Exercise increases your confidence and is said to improve your love life. On Valentine's Day before dinner go for a walk or a jog together. You can also go to a Bikram yoga class at a studio- hot yoga, go to a dance class, and go for a swim or just a quick gym session together!
5.Share some Valentines kisses!
Kissing stimulates over 30 facial muscles which burns more than 10 calories every five seconds.
