After" align="right">me emotionally on fighting through hard times and to keep on going, get through the day. This challenge comforted me over those days I felt helpless, hopeless and crying buckets during those times I felt worthless. Being a Personality Development Professor not too long ago, this challenge also gave me the inspiration to walk the talk that regardless of how or what you look like, its what you are overall that counts and how you take good care of yourself.
I now sleep earlier and though I have been struggling through early morning runs (I swear I have been for over a year now! ) this time, although its been two days - I finally got up and threw
myself to the road for a route. I MADE IT!
I have been finishing 2 liters of water again and found strategies. crunches and reverse crunches (morning and before I conk out to sleep) quite strange, instead of my tummy area it's my love handles that has lost inches. I'm NOT complaining though :)
Also, I have been irregular on my time of the month but this challenge made me see a doctor; trying to become competitive on the weight loss challenge got me really spend to see a doctor for overall check-up. I found out about the problem on my kidney and liver but because of the milestone that I wanted to achieve on gulping 2 liters of water, in a matter of 10 days the diagnosis disappeared and got me back healthy. My time of the month are now being monitored; I was able to supplement myself with Iron, Vitamin C and B Complex better than tempting myself on having diet pills which I have been neglecting for over a course of time already ever since I have gone health conscious because of all the challenges on diet.com
I'm back running, preparing for a wedding and my birthday on August.. Gained muscle mass, lost inches on my love handles, now able to run a complete miler again (although I used to finish a 5k for 25 minutes) I'm heading towards the progress I used to have and working on a much better pace.
Lost body fat percentage, gained poundage (muscles?), I get to wear party clothes again that made me show off my arms and my self esteem starting to boost up back since I'm already starting to wear my clothes back then again slowly, one by one.
5/22/09
Fat: 30.7%
Weight: 145 lbs
6/2/09
Fat: 29%
Weight: 142 lbs
7/23/2009
Fat: 26%
Weight: 140 lbs
Although I'm focusing more on the body fat percentage rather than the scale, I can't deny that I'm still somehow expecting for it to scale down but what I really can't believe is that, I was able to lose -3% body fat which was the milestone I thought I'll never accomplish wherein my reward is a NEW DRESS :)
Guess what! I'm having a New dress made for the wedding since I'll be one of the bridesmaids (Secondary Sponsor) and I can't wait til I walk down that aisle for a good friend's wedding.
Now, I still have 8% body fat more to lose, poundage to burn out from the scale and a protruding belly to flatten. As long as there's diet.com and there are challenges such as this, I'm moving forward and have myself part of every bit of it. Thanks to this challenge, I learned more towards taking good care of my body not just what is seen but also what's within.
