If you watch what you eat because you know it's going to show up on your thighs later, you probably have mixed feelings when you see thin celebrities promoting greasy chain restaurants. You either watch in disbelief that the celebrity actually eats the product they are promoting, or you despise their ability to eat fatty foods and still look amazing.
When Jessica Simpson first became the Pizza Hut spokesperson I was very skeptical to believe if she actually ate the stuff. One of the commercials were even shot in her Daisy Dukes! I don't think she went near a single slice while training to wear those short shorts. Any way, J.Simp is on the cover this month of Elle. She told the magazine that she is actually ALLERGIC to pizza! Ok, so I didn't think she really ate the stuff, but I would like to think that she at least CAN eat it without getting hospitalized. Here is what she told Elle Magazine:
"There was that internal bleeding discovered last year around the time she was filming Employee of the Month; doctors found the presence of the little bugger thought to cause ulcers. Recently, Simpson tells me, after she was still feeling not quite right, an allergist delivered news that would chill the heart of anyone reared on Texan cuisine: She's allergic to cheese. And wheat. Oh, and tomatoes..."
So pizza gives J.Simp ulcers. There you have it. She endorses it, but doesn't eat it. Thank you Pizza Hut for choosing a convincing spokesperson. I was trying to think of other skinny celebrities that represent fast food chains, but being Friday and going to New York City this weekend to reunite with my fabulous friends, I really can't think. I also have Tivo so I never watch commercials anymore. Carmen Elektra promotes Taco Bell and a diet pill called NV. What are some other ridiculous celebrity endorsements you guys find hard to believe they actually eat/enjoy?
