If you buy pre-sliced apples in stores or at fast food restaurants, listen up: There's been a recall announced of sliced apples across the country.



Equipment used to produce apple products that are widely distributed to fast food chains and grocery stores turned up traces of listeria, prompting the recall. No illnesses have been reported.

McDonalds and Burger King are among the restaurants who are normally on the receiving end of products from the company - Missa Bay LLC, which is owned by Ready Pac Foods Inc. of Swedesboro, N.J. The apple products in question were distributed to 36 states as well as Washington, D.C..
