Welcome to my blog and thank you for checking it out! I thought it was only fitting for my first post to tell you a little bit more about me and my own journey with nutrition and fitness. Nutrition has always been an uphill battle for me. Struggling with my weight at an early age, I began to try every diet created, from Weight Watchers, LA weight loss, South Beach, Raw food, and the list goes on...
If I learned anything from these diets, it is this: you need to eat clean to lose weight!!! I am still a work in progress myself however I have found that the ideal balance for me is a mostly Paleo diet with some occasional non-Paleo foods. Does this mean I believe this is the key for everyone...absolutely not! But I do believe that the cleaner we eat, the healthier we will be, hence the name!
One of the biggest motivators in finding a balance with my nutrition has been my background in fitness. Growing up a dancer, I found myself constantly focusing on my body image, which turned into some very unhealthy habits, and then I found CrossFit. CrossFit has forever changed my standards of being healthy and fit! I eat to fuel my body, not to lose weight! Since starting CrossFit I am happy to say I have never looked back! It is my goal to teach others the benefits of treating your body well, fueling with the right foods for you, and becoming fitter in a way you never thought possible!
