Today marks one year since I became a diet.com member. Since then I've lost about 30 pounds. As always, I feel like I should be further along in my journey... but again, progress is progress.
It's been an interesting year. I've learned a lot about portioning, eating healthier, AND I successfully weened myself off of soda. Granted, I still drink soda every so often but I'm very rarely actually craving a soda. I mostly drink like, a can of something diet when I'm at work and only if I'm drained and really tired and just need that little extra umph to get through the rest of my shift. But considering I used to go through around 24 cans of Mountain Dew in a week... yeah I'd say its an improvement ha ha
I still have a long way to go. Well, about 15 pounds or so to go until I reach my goal of 135. My body is still getting used to my new medicine, so until then I have to work even harder to keep the pounds off and my weight decently under control. My mom's scale has been fairly unpredictable, so I don't fully trust it. But when I get back to Boone I will be able to get a better handle on how much, if any, I've actually lost this past week. Since I've been working pretty hardcore on my mom's treadmill this week, I hope it gives me the nice lil kick start I need.
Anywho, I'm going to watch a bit of TV and possibly get some lunch or something made at some point since I have to be at work later. Hope everyone is having a fantastic weekend!
