The Pursuit of Ultimate Wellness

Diets can be great tools to jump start your new health and fitness pursuit. But most diets are not meant to be life long term solutions but tools to getting to a better place in your health. Planning ahead will really help you maintain your dieting gains for the long haul. Think about it. If during your diet phase you are cutting calories in some form or another like most people, there should be a plan in place for when the diet is over. How will you compensate for that caloric difference once you go back to real life? Like all great ventures, a well thought out plan can make all the difference in being successful or not.
A few things to consider when planning ahead are:
• Not all diets are created equal. Nutrition is very individual. Keep in mind just because your sister lost 20 pounds on a particular type of diet, doesn’t mean the same may work for you. Our bodies, our needs and our constitutions are all very different. Be sure you research the diet you are interested in, its applicable guidelines, the products involved if there are some, the research done on the diet and the findings, the experts associated with the diet and of course, the honest results of people who have used it in the past.
