Ok, this is my life. I suppose that makes me the one responsible for it. I can feel what I want. I want to dance...to be free. Free of fatigue, free of pain, free from this second body that has invaded me!

My first task is to set some very simple goals for myself.
1) 1 glass of water before I eat or drink anything else
2) 75% of my plate FRESH fruits and veggies at every meal
3) No desserts or snacking between meals, except sipping diet
soda or strawberry lemonade
4) racquetball 3x/week
5) golf 2x/week
6) yoga/cardio/dance 3x/week
7) no eating out\
8) chew, chew, chew my food
9) track my food intake so that I am more aware of what I am eating and why
10)only 1 cup of coffee in the mornings
11) get up earlier to spend at least one hour of "my" time on the terrace
12) less computer time
13) play at least one hour each day with the kids
14) find time to dance each day
15) talk to two new people every day at the store
16) check weight daily upon rising and track it to keep motivated
17) begin transitioning to vegetarian
18) hug each of my kids at least twice daily and tell them I love them twice daily as well
19) Do my hair and makeup every day whether I feel like it or not
20) Start playing the piano again
21) find one way each day to show my husband that I care and that I love him
22)no matter what - do NOT lose temper w/dh - just be patient - figure it out...

@ 9:34am ET on June 27, 2007 You have beautiful goals and wonderful ideas! I wish I could get my bf to quit smoking and replace that with a healthy lifestyle. Maybe as we work out together more often he'll make that choice!

Good luck!
@ 11:30am ET on June 27, 2007 Those are great goals. It sounds like you have put a lot of thought into it. Good luck!

I have been on the Fletcherism diet for a little over 3 months and have lost 37 pounds. I chew eat bite 32 times and eat Lunch and supper only and have a mid afternoon snack about 3 pm. And another one at 8:30 at night. Be sure to chew eat bite at least 32 times. You will eat about 20-30 minutes and feel totally full and are eating a lot less calories by eating less food and you feel totally satisfied. Read Horace Fletcher’s book in Google books called How I Became Young at Sixty.
